“My son and I have spent the last 7 years deer hunting together. Last summer he decided to follow in my foot steps and enlist in the Marine Corps. I talked with his recruiter and found out he loves to deer hunt but had never hunted Mule deer. I told him I would put something together. I talked with a good friend and was told we could come south of Merriman Ne and hunt. Watching my son take this deer was great. As a father I am as proud as I can be of him but will sure miss my hunting buddy over the next few years. We all had a great time, made new friends and family. We are already planning a reunion hunt down the road. God willing. From our family to yours, God bless and Semper Fi.”
